The TD Niagara Jazz Festival is a new and exciting jazz festival dedicated to celebrating the art form of jazz in the Niagara Region. We inspire, educate and develop future jazz audiences for generations to come while combining live jazz with a Niagara experience – food, wine, culture and natural wonders.

The Festival is a not-for-profit event now going into its 4th year, creating jobs for hundreds of Niagara and Canadian jazz artists and generating income for many Niagara businesses. It is held on the last weekend of July - in 2017 this will be July 28-30. On that weekend, the flagship event will be at FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre, St. Catharines, on Friday night. On Saturday we will be in Simcoe Park, NOTL, with several free stages, a beer/wine tent, food and craft vendors and a children’s area; this will be followed by a show at a winery in the evening.

On Sunday the festival starts out on the Niagara River with a Dixieland Jazz Cruise and then will be at Megalomaniac winery all day and into the evening. At this site there will be a free stage, food trucks, artisans and vendors, plus 3 major ticketed concerts under the banner LIVE LEARN JAZZ: A Canadiana Suite) celebrating Canada's 150th birthday.

Besides the Festival itself, we present other events throughout the year, including the Twilight Jazz Series (first Sunday of OctoberJuly at Mahtay Café & Lounge), the LIVE LEARN JAZZ Series (first Thursday of April-July at various wineries and breweries in the area) and “The Music of a Charlie Brown Christmas” (in December, at FirstOntario PAC). In addition, we regularly have promotional booths at other festivals and events.

We need many volunteers on the Festival weekend and throughout the year - both out front and behind the scenes, such as Merchandise sales, Information/Promotion/Ticket sales, Office Administration, Website maintenance, Photography and Videography.

At the Festival itself, positions include Merchandise Sales, Information, Ticket Sales, Token Sales, Artist Hospitality, Guest Hospitality, Drivers, Parking Attendants, Green Team (keeping Simcoe Park clean), Roadies And Volunteer Reception.

We hope you’ll join us in making the TD Niagara Jazz Festival a success and helping us to keep growing and getting better
