The One-Act Festival runs over two days, and is presented in two parts. Students direct, design, and perform ten polished, short plays.

There will be limited paid parking onsite. Parking will be available for $8 (cash) for the Friday and Saturday 7:30pm shows and for the Saturday 2pm show. Parking will open approximately 1 hour before the event.

A zany meeting of two swinging couples caught in a web of hilarious and sometimes surprising relationships. Partial nudity, mixed drinks, and the right selection of toys and tunes blow the foam off this furious frolic.


The Tarantino Variation

Undercover agents Mr. Fushcia, Mr. Mauve, and Mr. Puce engage in a standoff. Unsure of the situation, the three work together in the most unlikely of ways to figure it all out, but the question remains; who will shoot first?

This frightening and absurd show in the spirit of Samuel Beckett explores the haunting of a grieving man obeying a dangerously playful ghost. As the man is haunted, confused, and tormented by the insidious ghost, you may find yourself in the same predicament.
A sombre horror play of contemporary angst and the meaning of life, intercut by excerpts of the instrumental largo from Beethoven's Fifth Piano Trio (The Ghost)

A play about two African Canadian women living in Africville (Halifax) and how they negotiate poverty and loss.
